Is Bentley University A Respectable School?

So I got into Bentley University and I'm thinking about going there for the fall. I'm extremely interested in business and since Bentley is a business school, I have a strong interest in attending.

But I'm just curious how people in the "real world", business professionals, and the general business community thinks about Bentley University regarding students who come out of the school.

Thanks.|||I have interned at one of the Big 4 Accounting firms (which are comprised of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst %26amp; Young and KPMG) while attending Bentley University as an undergraduate student. The Big 4 Accounting Firms are very eager to hire Bentley students. They know that Bentley has a great Business program and know that the students are of quality. One of the Big 4 actually picked Bentley to be one of the schools that they were going to partner with in order to increase their level of recruitment with in Bentley鈥檚 Accounting Program. This is just one example of how Bentley university connections, but students from other areas of study are also highly sought after for jobs in the business world. In addition the Miller Center for Career services is ranked 12th in the nation in terms of helping students succeed in the work place.

If Todd Bentley finalizes his divorce from his wife, will god revoke his miracle pass?

I want to know how gods miracles work, do they have terms and conditions? are they revokable and can they be renewed?|||I dunno.|||Matthew 7:22-23 says, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

When a person does signs and wonders, this does not mean what he is doing is of the Lord. Right before this, Matthew 7:15-16 says, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits."

The fruit that is referred to here is the "fruit of the Spirit". Galatians 5:22-23 tells us that, "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."

These "fruits" will be evidenced by a person's attitude, words, and actions. Personally, I do not believe Todd Bentley is truly a "miracle worker" or prophet of God. It would be against God's character to tell someone to "kick [this woman] in the face with your biker boot." Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." It would be out of God's character to inflict harm for healing. When it comes down to Todd Bentley's character, he seems to be lacking: kindness, self-control, and gentleness.

As far as a person who is truly gifted by the Lord to do these things, no, I do not believe that God would revoke the ability to perform miracles. Miracles are not for the benefit of the person being used to manifest them, but for the person receiving them. God would not punish those needing a miracle because of a prophet who stepped out of line with God's will.

It is imperative of any prophet (or prophetess) to stay in line with the Word of God, seek Him, and make sure that our lives are living sacrifices to Christ. We are not to live our lives for ourselves, but rather, for Jesus Christ. A true Christian will not only ask for forgiveness of sin, but repent and turn away from it.

So, in conclusion (lol), if there is a prophet of God who is working miracles and sins, God would not revoke the ability to work miracles. There are no specific "terms and conditions", but if we do not stay in line with God's Word, it is easy for us to fall into the trap of working "signs and wonders" outside of God's will - which is how we sprout a Todd Bentley.

What do people think of the Bentley Continental Flying Spur?

I want to hear some feedback on what people think of the Flying Spur. It is a four door version of the GT, it has 552 horsies under its hood, torque is outrageous, top speed of 195 MPH, handling is that of a lamborghini, ferrari, etc., and its 5500 pounds curbweight and has an MSRP of $180,000|||i thinks it looks kinda ugly. i like the coupe, but i don't it in sedan. i'll rather get a mercedes s65 amg. but wait unitl the aston martin rapide comes out in 2009.|||I'd get the coupe over the sedan, but it's a cool car. It doesn't handle like Ferrari's or Lamborghini's btw.|||Its a good car. You just gave all teh information about so there is much else to say.

is it mainly the label which comes with these vehicles or are they really a much much better quality than say a Toyota?|||firstly toyotas are good quality vehicles. to answer your question yes it is a lot about the tag and also that the cars have good built quality. they have the latest luxuries, safety systems they are very good looking and are classy. luxuriouse cars are also a sign of power.|||There is absolutely a difference. Bentley's and Lamborghini's are hand built and built in a smaller quantity so that makes them rare as well as desired. The cars are much better looking and have a proven quality. They are also faster, and have much more expensive materials (leather, engine parts, etc.) The Quality is indisputably better than Toyota. On the other hand, Toyota could make a car that expensive if they used more expensive materials, and made it very desirable to own.|||There are many reasons why some vehicles are more expensive than others aside from the brand name. Firstly, there is no toyota that can travel at 198mph unlike the Bentley Continental GT...the engine, brakes and suspension are all under massive stress at very high speeds, and only the most expensive of parts can deal with this. Expensive cars are also usually hand made, which takes a lot of man hours - this lebour needs to be paid for. The finest materials are used in building quality cars which costs much more money than the materials Toyota would use to build a Yaris, for example. Luxury cars are not mass produced on the same scale as cheap and cheerful family runabouts, so the likes of Bentley and Lamborghini are not able to achieve the same levels of Economies of Scale that the likes of Toyota can acheive.

You pay for what you get, essentially - if you want a cheap car with exposed screwheads and tacky plastic then buy something for a few thousand pounds. How to refill old school "bentley" cigarette lighter?

Found a old bentley lighter made in austria at a grarage sale...was wanting to refill it so I could use it! Could you let me know?|||Yes, go to a store, what they used to call Tobacconists,they carry cigarettes and cigars etc. and ask for lighter fluid,

It comes in a small thin can, with a pop up pouring mechanism.

Then under the lighter, there is usually a couple of screws, one for filling the lighter, the other for the flint holder.

The screw you need is the larger one.

Just unscrew it, and pour some lighter fluid on the cotton wool that's inside the lighter. You may have to replace that, but you'll know soon enough.

You may also have to buy some flints, which are available in the same store. Usually come in a small strip of ten or so.

Then the lighter should be set to go. They are pretty simple instruments.

I know VW bought Bentley, but do they also own Audi?? I was driving my new W12 A8, and i thought VW and Bentley were the only companies that used W12 engines. And while driving, the cars are almost identical (the Audi A8 and Bentley Continental Flying Spur) Whats the scoop?!?!|||Audi is owned by VW and has been for nearly 40 years. They bought Bentley about 5 years ago, as well as Lamborghini, Skoda, and Seat. They also bought Porsche shortly after Audi and now only own 20% of it.

They also bought Bugatti right before the Veyron debuted for production.

Also, Audi's B9 (not a model name) platform that they are using for the 2009 Audi A4 is used on the VW Passat and shortened for the Jetta.

The Audi A6 model is used for the Q7 which shares it's platform with the VW Toureag and the Porsche Cayenne.

The Audi A8 is the Phaeton and the Phaeton was discontinued at the end of 2006. The A8L platform is used for the Bentley Continental Flying Spur. The A8 W12, Phaeton and Toureag W12, and the Bentley Continental models use the Audi and Volkswagen co-produced W12 engine. W12 is a trademark of Volkswagen AG and its affiliates Audi AG.

The Audi S6's 450 HP V10 engine is a tuned down version of Lamborghini's Gallardo SE engine.|||VW owns audi and bentley, and both use the W12 engine.|||VW owns 99.7% of Audi, so yes, they own Audi. Links and references much apreciated :)|||Considering the make of the car, I doubt that anyone would have very many used parts and very few aftermarket parts would be available for a 2 yr old car. And you need some of the more expensive parts, so the dealer is probably your only choice. Buy a less expensive car and don`t complain about the cost of parts.

Why the heck do companies continue to use crappy MicroStation? Is it like a tenth the cost of AutoCad or something?|||Wait a minute you guys give Bentley a chance...they were the solid model pioneers .In 1990 they were hands away better at a product called EMS (engineering modelling system) and their Finite Element Solver was even better . The reason for the run towards ACAD is that it ran on a pc and MSV4/5 and EMS didn't .You needed a linux workstation and they were out of the range of most folks pocket book . A single seat of EMS was 30K dollars and MS was 12k dollars. With the hardware costing aROUND 100k that was just more than the market could handle. The Bentley system you might get now will run fliudly on a PC for GIS workings and will even power the terrain following missiles used in our defense program. Bentley also helped pioneer the software for parts on the patriot missile (the one that knocked down the scuds in the gulf war)....I know because i was one of those guys at Huntsville Ala who was doing that sort of stuff... Along the way there was a \company called Intergraph which hosted the systems and was disolved some time ago just because Sun could do it so much cheaper in Delhi...Outsourcing a huge price tag and lack of understanding of the software was the problem. Microstation V8 is one of the best all round 3D Boolean soft modelers that has ever come out . It has a round corner feature that makes Acad's Algorythyms cough and whease. And when it comes to really big bad engineering solutions MSV8 is still my choice..So why is it that i use Acad well its just like i said . Price and graphical information exchange between platforms (DGN,DWG) are still problamatic and its because you use it and i can send you a file and you can view it...Yea i know there is a translator but when you get rid of the GUI's and look at the programs guts the data just isn't the same..I'm not going to say drop Acad but i will say this If Bentley had gone ahead with their operation to make a real PC screamer similiar to V5 and Microsoft had picked it up well there would have been a lot of people who would be asking just what you asked about MSV8. Also in closing when you talk about about a crappy program I know you couldn't have meant MSV5or V8 . Regardless of parents, who say they will not call their child by a nickname, when they go to school, they most likely will get a nickname. First of all, being a young male puts you in the highest risk category for car accidents. Any car you get will, statistically, be involved in an accident within 2 years.

Not only are you at risk because you're a young man, both the cars that you mentioned are more powerful than average cars, so you're accident risk is even greater.

The other factor you might want to consider is that when you have an accident, the other party is going to play up their injuries so that they can sue you for damages. At 16 you would make a perfect victim for a scammer who wants to milk you of your cash.

If I were you I'd get an ordinary car to start with, and later get a higher performance vehicle.|||Well, you are a silverspoon I see. No, you shouldn't get a Bentley or a Lamborghini. They are not going to like that, and they will refuse to insure you. Believe me, I know a lot of guys in the business. Third, they are not good to get used to. You get into any other car and you won't be able to drive it. That's bad. You will have terribly high expectations for any car that you get into. Why are liberal thought police so rabid about Gov. Robert Bentley statement about his faith?

I know Obama is president, but it's still America. Why would they try to suppress someone's religious beliefs?|||Only Christians are persecuted for their beliefs, it seems all other religions are given a free ride regardless what they say or do.|||He is guaranteed freedom of religion by the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. Too many people don't know what this amendment actually says. It says Congress will establish no state religion,; it also gives individuals the right to religion as they please, and that means any elected official and any other average Joe out there. If liberals don't like it perhaps they should learn what the Constitution says and realize that they are wrong to criticize anyone for his/her religious beliefs.|||Bentley doesn't seem to understand that his elected office is not a pulpit from which to spread his superstitions. It's not suppression of his beliefs to demand that he not use the Governor's lecturn as a tool of religion.

I don't know when their stock was first listed on a stock exchange, but it was prior to 1999.

How close is Bentley Hotel to the subway in New York?

We are traveling with 5 adults and one child and wanted to know how close it was located to the subway?|||That's a really cute boutique hotel, but getting the subway from there is a pain. The hotel is on York Ave. all the way east and the only east side train is the (green line) 4, 5, %26amp; 6 which is on Lexington Ave. and the walk is about 4 city blocks.|||The closest subway stations would be on Lexington, which is several avenues to the west of the hotel. You can see the distance by using Google Maps.|||Not that close. Unfortunately, this hotel is wayyyy east, and so it's about 7 blocks to the subway. 5 of those blocks are between avenues, which means they are longer than traditional "city blocks". I'd say it's a little over a half a mile and about a 10 to 15 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk.)|||It's about half a mile, so 10 to 15 minutes with a child along. The closest stop is the 4, 5, and 6 lines at Lexington Avenue and 59th or 60th (there are entrances at either intersection).

And is it true that the only real threat AS OF NOW to a phantom is the buyer?|||The new Azure comes close, but it's still about 70k cheaper than a Phantom and 100k less than the Drophead coupe. It also only has a V8 instead of a V12. So yes, I would say that the Phantom does not have a real threat from Bentley. Don't forget the Maybach 62 however, which has the same price as a Phantom and also has a V12.

I do see Bentley coming out with something to compete with the Phantom eventually. However, for the time being, Bentley doesn't *need* to compete with Rolls Royce. Bentley's models basically have the $150k-$350k luxury car market entirely to themselves. There is some competition in the form of Maserati/Mercedes towards the bottom of the range, and the Maybach 57 in the 350k range, but other than that, Bentley's got the market cornered. In fact I am 90% sure I read a quote from a Bentley executive stating that they intentionally price their models to fill empty market niches. I can't remember the source unfortunately. Anyways, now that Rolls is coming out with a Baby Phantom after 2010, Bentley will finally have some competition and may have to up the ante a little bit with a Phantom competitor.|||it already has but nt up to the mark the red label and the arnagel and arnage rl|||The Bently Arnage.

I need to get hold of a new pair of front brake discs for a 2004 Bentley Continental GT. It it okay to take up two parking spots to stop people hitting my Bentley when they open their car doors?

I have found that if I deliberately straddle the white dividing line between normal parking bays, the paupers in their rusty old bangers can't hit my classic marque when they open their own car doors.

The idiots who paint the lines in car parks always manage to make the bays too small.
