Do you think a 16 year old should get a Bentley?

I am about to trun 16 and my mom and dad took me to go pick out a car that they are going to get me and i chose a Bentley. I also liked the Lamborghini GALLARDO.Do you think that i should get the bentley or Lambo?|||Easy - get one of each!|||I don't think that a Lamborghini or a Bentley is a suitable car for a 16 year old.

First of all, being a young male puts you in the highest risk category for car accidents. Any car you get will, statistically, be involved in an accident within 2 years.

Not only are you at risk because you're a young man, both the cars that you mentioned are more powerful than average cars, so you're accident risk is even greater.

The other factor you might want to consider is that when you have an accident, the other party is going to play up their injuries so that they can sue you for damages. At 16 you would make a perfect victim for a scammer who wants to milk you of your cash.

If I were you I'd get an ordinary car to start with, and later get a higher performance vehicle.|||Well, you are a silverspoon I see. No, you shouldn't get a Bentley or a Lamborghini. I'll tell you why, and keep in mind I am not even bringing money into this. Both are much too powerful for a new driver. You will get into an accident the day you drive it off the lot. I've driven a Bentley Continental and a Lamborghini Gallardo, as well as many other exotics. They are way way way too fast. Even my father, who raced back in the day, wouldn't drive one. You give it just a little too much gas and you're in the wall that you thought was 200 feet in front of you. That's number one. Number two, you will not get insurance. If you do, you are lucky, it will be expensive but I assume that's okay with your parents, but chances point to that you are not. If you don't get insurance, you can't register the car. Remember, insurance companies see you as an asshole, badass kid with zero responsibility and maturity, driving a $250K 3 ton car with over 500hp. They are not going to like that, and they will refuse to insure you. Believe me, I know a lot of guys in the business. Third, they are not good to get used to. You get into any other car and you won't be able to drive it. That's bad. You will have terribly high expectations for any car that you get into. That's why even silverspoons drive bottom of the line cars- to get them used to the hardest and make it only easier with other cars. Seriously, don't get either. Get something slower and less expensive and you don't regret it.|||I think that depends on your style and personality. How can you go wrong with either car. The Bentley says class all the way. The Lambo says power and speed. You'll probably get allot of nay sayers on her though, that think a 16 year doesn't need either. You're gonna hear how you'll kill yourself in a Lambo. I think if your parents are going to shell out that much cash, you must be very responsible. I noticed in life when buying cars when I bought cars like a Ford Counter or Honda Accord people were supportive. Simply because there common and you you are not exceeding the them. Most people on her can't afford Bent's or lambo's myself included. So jealousy will taint most answers you get. Why not take a long test drive in both. Cruise your neighborhood and see which one makes you feel the best and then chose. I'm sure if your spending that-much the salesman won't mind a 2 hour test drive.|||Cleveland 05/29/09

The matter should,..or, must revolve around security. First fear car-

jacking. Fear driving safety.

A youth must use the best driving safety,..defensive driving,..overly,

careful is not a bad thing. But, too slowly ,..and, too fast. drive

at moderate speeds. And, drive a moderately priced auto,..eh,.!?

The fear of carjacking be a very real fear,..And,..for this reason:

a two year old auto in excellent condition be better for a teen,..

Take the latter into account,..Grow on this,..

Later Man,,and, peace,..!!

Eliasis Yahwehei ( The Main Man )|||If you do, I hope you wreck it. Being 15, I'm guessing you have very little experience and you are probably a horrible driver. Good luck being a statistic.|||AWW! Trailer-park dreams are nice. Why not just have Uncle-Dad take the Trans Am in the front yard off of the cinder blocks and you can drive that when you turn 16.|||At 16 you shouldn't even be given the option to get any of the above!!! New drivers are almost guaranteed to wreck their first car. My house you'd be lucky to get a 1972 Pontiac Catalina!|||Sooo..... looking at your profile.....are you 13 or 15? Because 2 weeks ago you said you were 13.|||Lambo = cool

Bently = not cool|||Why don't you check out the Porsche?
